HEALTH DEPARTMENT

Public Health Division of the Urban Local bodies is solely responsible for providing clean and healthy environment to its citizen for maintaining proper health and sanitation conditions within their municipal area.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF PUBLIC HEALTH/ SANITATION DIVISION ARE:-

  • Cleanliness towards waterborne and other different communicable diseases.
  • Eliminating waste cleaning public streets, roads, drains Cleaning of public streets, roads and drains and providing clean environment.
  • Highly nutritious food (cereals, vegetables, fruits, eggs etc) at low cost and it can be procured locally. Adulterated food will be banned,licenses will be issued under Food Adulteration Impediment Act.
  • Issuing licenses under Food Adulteration Impediment Act.
  • Issuing licenses under Bylaws.
  • Places were controlled which allotted for the dead bodies disposal, providing curative and preventive actions for communicable diseases.
  • Supplying clean drinking water, controlling measures for maternal deaths, child deaths (under 5 years).
  • Solid waste management, organic farming promotion and agriculture diversification using multi-cropping and mixed cropping.
